If you are searching for a family run resort where the swimming pool is inviting, either for a swim or a place to relax and read and where you wont feel crowded.....then Kalbarri Reef Villas is the resort for you.

Located 100 metres from the beautiful Murchison River,the Kalbarri Reef Villas are set in a truly sub-tropical garden paradise. Kalbarri Reef Villas accommodation consists of eight 2 bedroom villas and one 1 bedroom "honeymoon suite" villa. All villas are fully self contained , both bedrooms air-conditioned , very spacious with room to move and surrounded by lawn areas and sub-tropical gardens. We also cater for couples, families and backpackers that want a bit more personal space and offer the personal touch that some of the larger resorts are unable to offer. At the Kalbarri Reef Villas the couple that manage the villas are also the couple that clean the villas and live on-site to assist and make your stay an enjoyable one.

Considered by many to be one of Kalbarri's best 3.5 star AAA resorts, Kalbarri Reef Villas offers fully self contained Kalbarri accommodation with everything you will need. Eight of the villas are spacious, 2 storey, 2 bedroom (both air-conditioned) with the bedrooms upstairs ( all linen and towels are provided). Downstairs you have a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living area and your bathroom. We also have one 'honeymoon suite' that is the same size as the two bedroom villas. The only difference is that you have one bedroom !!
Each villas has its own balcony that overlooks the gardens and is a great place to have breakfast.
Step outside and you will be surrounded by 'greenery', BBQ facilites and a swimming pool to refresh you after sight seeing. Plenty of shade is available with 3 Bali huts spread around the grounds.

*** New to Kalbarri in 2012 is the Skydive Kalbarri !!! People are taking to the sky by the plane load to get a bird's eye view of Kalbarri before taking the leap of faith and skydiving their way back to the beach opposite the town.

When you are in Kalbarri next make sure you look up as well as west when walking along the foreshore, you never know who will be dropping in to town !!
Although skydiving is relatively safe, if you're going to be taking a few risks on your stay you may want to consider protecting yourself. You can usually find cheap travel insurance with Budget Direct if you check into it well ahead of your trip.

Kalbarri is an unspoilt town with attractions both landbased and on the water. For wildflower lovers you wont find anywhere better in Australia than Kalbarri National Park. From July until November ( depending on the rain) the park is transformed into a mosaic of colour with over 800 species of West Australian native wildflowers.

The Murchison River provides the family with a great area to swim, go sailing or fish for whiting, tailor, bream and mulloway. It is also home to Blue Manna Crabs as well as Mud Crabs and a variety of shell life.
Over a few million years the Murchison River has carved a gorge through the ancient and photographic Tumblagooda Sandstone. Thousands of visitors are drawn to Kalbarri each year to experience the wonder of the Murchison River.
Over 200 varieties of bird life, including Eagles, Pelicans and wetland waders inhabit the waterways. A river cruise up the river mid morning or late afternoon promises an experience to remember...bring your camera!

The river gorges offer spectacular views of the Murchison River from such vantage points as The Loop and Z Bend lookouts. The Loop is so named because here a section of the Murchison River twists and forms enormous loops. At the Z Bend, the Murchison River flows through a narrow ravine which provides an ideal location for canoe safaris. In the lower reaches of the Murchison River you can take a canoe trip on the Murchison River that includes a great Aussie breakfast as well as the opportunity to see the local 'wildlife'.

From Red Bluff the coastal cliffs extend 13kms south to the parks southern boundary. Well located access roads into the coastal gorges will provide visitors to Kalbarri ample opportunity to view the rugged cliffs and whale watching in season ( approx July through to October ~ the whales dont have a calender !) Dolphins are also local to the area and can be spotted from the cliffs playing and feeding in the waters below.

Offshore fishing is another major attraction at Kalbarri with charter boat operators who have fantastic knowledge of where the fish are hiding. They can also show you the dolphins, whales and the coastal cliffs at sunset. If you prefer to bring your own boat thats fine ( as long as its bigger than a dinghy for the ocean!) or you can hire a boat whilst you are here.
